Isaac has been with OAS Technology for over 5 years. Starting out as a Systems Engineer and climbing the ladder to Senior Systems Engineer/Team Leader, Isaac has been a loyal and integral employee.
Isaac has moved over to an Account Manager role, looking to broaden his skills and develop his customer relationships whilst leaning on his technical knowledge. At OAS Technology we have clear growth pathways to support our staff, and we always look to promote internally first. We are thrilled for Isaac!
What made you decide to jump from Technician to Account Manager?
I have been a technician my whole working career and wanted a new challenge. Making the move to account management will allow me to develop my customer relationships and come up with new solutions, which I love doing.
How long have you been working in IT?
I have been working in IT for 8 years within the MSP space. I may have accelerated the growth of my grey hair…
What do you love most about working with OAS Technology?
Most definitely the culture. Many office environments can be dull and mundane, but it’s hard to beat a beachside office full of awesome people. Banter every day.
What’s your most-used productivity hack?
If I have a lot on my plate I will come in early, grab a large coffee, fill out my calendar with the high-priority tasks and put my headphones on. Deadmau5 is great music for smashing out work.
Do you have any mentors in your professional or personal life?
I would have to say our former directors and owners Tony Price and Craig Browning. They have run and grown a successful IT company for the last 30 years, and while being professionals, they’re still great to have a beer with. I have learnt a lot from them both over the years.
What did you want to be when growing up?
I’ve been a nerd at heart since I was a little kid, so I always knew I would end up working around technology. Not sure what role exactly, but I’d say something close to what I am doing now.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I’m coming for Jeff Bezos, Satya Nadella and Elon Musk…
Not really – Ultimately, I would love a position in the tech industry where I can innovate, be creative and make an impact with technology. Maybe CTO/CIO if I work hard enough.
